Who We Are

Welcome to the Blodgett View Christian School (BVCS). We are a Seventh-day Adventist school that believes a child’s educational experience should include a high standard of academics, while also fostering students to collaborate, develop problem solving skills, approach life with creativity and practice social responsibility.

Our doors opened for the first time in 1902. Our school has been open and providing a Christian education for the families of the Bitterroot Valley for the majority of the time since then. As a not-for-profit Christian school, we are one of the longest operating educational institutions in the Valley. We are more than a school, we are part of the community.

BVCS is part of the Montana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is accredited by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. BVCS is operated and supported by two constituent Seventh-day Adventists churches, Hamilton, and Darby as well as support from Stevensville church.

Mission Statement

  • Daily show the love of God in action
  • Accept and support each other unconditionally
  • Put our best effort into everything we do
  • Be a positive influence in our community
  • Educate each student to their highest level of academic achievement

Philosophy Statement

A true knowledge of God, fellowship and companionship with Him in study and service, and likeness to Him in character development are to be the source, the means, and the aim of Seventh-day Adventists education at Blodgett View Christian School.

Realizing that the time we have here on earth is a preparation for heaven, the constituents of BVCS have established this institution to prepare the young people to “understand the object of their creation, to honor God and to bless their fellowman and to see the high destiny for which the discipline of this life is to prepare.”
